Period Small Solid Oak Staircase
Although small in size, this oak staircase has been made to the same high standards as any other we make.
The original staircase leading to the attic room was very steep and unsafe.
For this period property we created a small oak staircase that was sympathetic in style to this former farm cottage an used some clever techniques to lesson the angle and ease access.
We pre assembled, aged and polished the solid oak staircase in our workshop in Rolvenden, Kent. The old staircase was removed and the new one fitted by ourselves, the treads were scribed into the chimney breast to create as much space as possible and the top tread was integrated into the landing floor.
