Bespoke Staircase jointed into Existing Timbers

After a survey of a property in the Midlands, our clients visited our workshop in Kent to finalise their requirements for the project. Our objective was to remove the existing staircase and make the new staircase wider and adjust the rise and going to make it more comfortable to use than before.

The oak timber was hand selected and the stairs were pre-assembled in our workshop and the newel posts were hand carved by a member of our team, a bespoke landing platform made from large sectioned timbers and hand chamfered details was also pre-assembled.

The gallery was also replaced with bespoke hand rails, turned balustrades and finials matching the main staircase.

All components were coloured and hand polished before being delivered to the property, before installation could proceed all existing timbers and beams needed to be sanded back to natural colours as they were to be an integral part of the staircase.

The fitting of this unique staircase also included two smaller stairs and solid oak floor boards to the landing and was completed by our own team of skilled craftsmen.
