Oak Dragon Wash Basin Stand

Following discussions with a delightful client and based on a simple sketch that she produced, we got quite carried away with this solid oak dragon-like washstand.

The legs and wings were temporarily built up and the detail of it's feet, wings and scales were hand drawn so that we could get the proportions correct before final assembly and hand carving.

The Dragon was then stained and finished with a colour specific to the client before being fitted by ourselves. It's scaly legs support useful cupboards and soft-close drawers.
