Hand Made Solid Oak Staircase and Gallery

Following alterations to their property, a returning client asked us to design a traditional staircase that was wider and more comfortable to use than their previous staircase.

Hand made from the finest oak, this stunning staircase and gallery has turned balusters and hand worked newel post finials and caps with understairs storage and was pre assembled and polished in our Rolvenden workshops.

The understairs panelling and cupboard conceal the heater matrix and other services, the hand carved door panel is pierced to aid air flow.

A character oak floor was laid on the landing with the top tread being part of that floor.

As part of the project and stair design we concealed the new steel supporting beams in oak boxing that was hand worked, aged and coloured to blend in with the properties original beams.

Being local our client was able to visit our workshop and showtoom to choose turning, finials and colour.
