Staircase before under stair cupboard had been fitted

The refurbishment of a property in Sussex resulted in discussions with the owners to replace the staircase and change its original position, time was spent with our client to position the new oak staircase to optimise space and flow.

This lovely oak staircase with gallery and hand turned spindles was pre assembled and polished in our Kent workshop, a hand carved detail was added to the newel post, panelling with a jib door was fitted to create an under stair storage cupboard.

A pair of oak panelled doors with heavy sectioned oak architrave were also made and fitted, the doors fold back against the wall to maximise space.
