Original Stairs before being carefuly dismantled

Oak Stairs incorporating original Handrail and Capping

Working with the Conservation Officers Report it was obvious that the existing stairs were in a near state of collapse and were carefuly removed.The period oak arched apron was stripped and polished, as were the original handrail and capping.

The new stairs were fitted into this tight space and designed to reflect the original style but still complying with current building regulation.
