Carving being gilded with 24 carat gold leaf

An initial enquiry from the Who'd A Thought It regarding new bar tops for their boutique hotel and restaurant in Grafty Green, resulted in us creating these character Elm Bar Tops with hand carved lettering and logo, the carving was gilded using 24 carat gold leaf. The natural splits in the character Elm were filled with a red resin and backlit to fit in with the quirkiness of this restored 16th century hotel and bar. www. whodathoughtit.com.
