Oak Staircases

Deacon & Sandys design and make traditional staircases in solid oak for period style and more contemporary interiors. Each staircase is individually designed.

Deacon & Sandys work with clients to incorporate their requirements while taking the style and period of the property into account. As well as being a focal point a staircase is the backbone of a house and greatly enhances its quality.

The fine details range from the type of spindles or splats, choice of handrail, style of newels and newel caps to the thickness of the moulding on the strings. It is then a question of the shade of oak, the degree to which it is distressed and the style of hand carving.
