After an initial site meeting with the client to discuss ideas and designs, Deacon & Sandys will send a quotation with detailed drawings of the proposed work.
Rooms of carved oak wall panelling, halls of hand-planed, random width oak floors, flights of stairs with turned balustrading, panelled oak libraries and majestic overmantels are designed to meet the client's exact requirements. Hand carving in a particular style and to incorporate a family crest and inscription is undertaken.
Deacon & Sandys produce interior joinery with distinct character whilst being in keeping with the period of its surroundings. Their finish ranges from the style of the 16th century with a distressed and aged appearance in a dark oak to a more contemporary look with the natural surface of the oak in a pale shade.
Historic reference is made when designing 16th and 17th century style joinery so that each element is based on its original counterpart. Deacon & Sandys also specialise in more modern work designing windows and interior and exterior doors for newly built oak framed properties as well as radiator covers, bookcases, panelled oak television cabinets and home cinema housings.
